  1. be a Grade 12 graduate or at least 19 years of age when classes begin.
  2. have Grade 11 English and Math, with a minimum C Grade, or arrange for a Prior Learning Assessment by contacting the Pacific Horticulture College Coordinator.
  3. be in good health and physically fit.
  4. have a genuine interest in and desire for a career in horticulture.
  5. be prepared to:
  • attend and participate regularly in all class and program activities which include plant maintenance duties on some weekends (approximately 7 times throughout the school year).
  • achieve a minimum 60% grades in all courses.
  • complete all project work assigned.
  1. Visit the HCP Gardens, talk to the College Coordinator, gardeners and students to learn more about the program.
    Contact the college coordinator at 479-3210 or college@hcp.bc.ca to request an application package or if you have any questions regarding the program.
  2. Attend an interview upon invitation.
  3. If accepted, you are required to sign an enrollment contract. Once that contract is returned along with the $130.00 Registration Fee , your space is reserved in the program.
  4. Submit all of the required application documentation:

If you have not paid the Registration Fee by the deadline you may forfeit your place in that specific intake of students.

Incomplete application forms/documentation will be returned.
